Project Summary

Location: Foshan, China
Project area:164,509 sq m
Service: Architecture Design

Located in the core area of Nanhai district, Jinbo Tianjie is a one-stop commercial complex above the planned interchange site of Metro Line 6 and Line 4. The gross floor area is about 269,000 square meters, integrating a five-star hotel, Grade-A office building and an 8-story (2 underground and 6 above ground) centralized shopping center.

Creating a “Heart of Foshan”, Jinbo Tianjie aspires to become the shopping center landmark of its region and to lead the new trend of fashion shopping.

Jinbo Tianjie takes advantage of the proximity of double subway, connecting the subway entrances and exits to shape the city park into a multi-dimensional green sunken plaza, which not only provides the public with urban public leisure space, but also brings visitors to the shopping center. The three-dimensional greening will extend from the sunken plaza all the way along the landscape terrace to the roof garden.

The design of Jinbo Tianjie is inspired by Lingnan traditional garden. The podium façade and towers use horizontal lines to symbolize the pavilion standing in mountains. Spaces flowing in the project compares the water flowing in between the mountain and pavilion. The west façade is shaped by interspersed and staggered blocks to form the undulating state of the mountains, while the commercial format on the roof is like villages among the mountains in Lingnan garden.

Jinbo Tianjie is a new commercial landmark for Foshan, helping Foshan to enhance its influence as the key node city of Greater Bay Area.
